i dont know... it's not clear where photo becomes photo manipulation... every one has an opinion about this

for me, you are still into the photo category if you use the software to:
- crop the image
- rotate the image
- resize the image
- change various levels
- slightly adjust colors

while you enter the photo manipulation if you do more, like
- adding elements to the scene
- altering the shape of things in the scene
- add effects that were not in the original photo

just my too cents!

in my opinion this should go to the photo manipulation... let me know your opinion!

anyway it's a nice artwork, really!
